Dear Fellow South Africans
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR MOVE! The company was extremely late, their staff were rude, careless, aggressive and often non-responsive and they caused quite a lot of damage to both the move out and move in place, as well as the furniture. This was honestly the most traumatic move ever.
Even though they came in at the most affordable rate, I would have gladly paid twice or even three times the amount to another moving Company to have avoided the trauma this Company had caused.
This company honestly caused so much stress and anxiety with the move and I really would not recommend them at all, so much so, that I sent the below email the Wise Move administrators as well, detailing the unprofessional this company was.
1. Delay
The move was confirmed for 4 movers commencing at 08h00 (see snippet below). I also specifically confirmed the time (08h00) as I had booked for the move out apartment to be professionally cleaned at 12h00 and for handover to occur later that afternoon.

After 08h00, I called the Company after not hearing from them and was told that someone will get back to me. I then checked my emails and saw that less than an hour before the scheduled move, the Company had changed the move time to 15h00 (see snippet below).

I then called the company again and explained that the move cannot be done at 15h00 as (1) a cleaning company had already been booked and paid for and were coming in at 12h00 to clean the apartment and (2) handover was to occur by 17h00 that day. Needless to say, after the events that transpired below, the cleaning company could not complete the cleaning because items remained unmoved in the apartment until later that night and I was forced to cancel the handover that day. This not only caused a significant inconvenience to me, but to other people who were moving in as well.
Just after 11am, the moving company arrived and I was told that the move would be done by 12h00. The driver then immediately left with another employee (meaning he took the moving truck with him along with the other employee who was supposed to assist with the move) leaving only 2 employees and a trailer without a truck to carry out the move, despite having specifically requested and confirmed 4 movers. The driver said that he was going to "get food for the workers" but when he showed up 6 hours later, it was clear that he took the truck and the other employee to carry out another move elsewhere.
For the next 6 hours (yes, six hours):
a. the two movers that were left, started moving furniture at the slowest rate possible;
b. the two movers were also incredibly rude and refused to take instructions, for instance, at first they refused to move the pot plants (which were clearly stated as being needed to be moved in the request); and
c. I struggled to get in touch with the Company. Every time I did manage to get in touch with them, I was given empty promises that the rest of the movers would shortly return and that the move would be concluded shortly.
The move was not concluded shortly. A move that was booked for 08h00 and (according to the moving Company would take between 1 to 2 hours), started after 11h00 and ended after 22h00 that night!!! Please see below screenshots of the WhatsApp conversations I had with the moving Company's employees:

After the last message (around 16h00), the moving Company's employees were largely unresponsive and Wellington (the lead mover / driver) only came back after 18h00. This meant that a lot of my furniture was just strewn across the parking lot for hours on end and exposed to elements - see snippets of the videos I took with the time stamps (because I myself cannot believe this happened and then I look at the videos and photos and the times they were taken and I'm still shocked at how unprofessional this Company was).

All the furniture in the apartment was only removed close to 21h00 that night so the cleaning company could not complete their clean and I could not handover the apartment. All the furniture was then moved into the new apartment around 22h00.
Again, reiterating that a move that was booked for 08h00 and (according to the moving Company would take between 1 to 2 hours), started after 11h00 and ended after 22h00 that night!!!
2. Unprofessional Employees
As outlined above, the employees of the Company were incredibly rude and aggressive and sometimes refused to take instruction. They just spoke over you, refused to listen and raised their voices. The employees (Wellington and another lady who apparently owns the Company) most often than not simply just refused to answer the phone on numerous occasions.
3. Damage:
The Company was careless and caused a massive amount of damage to:
the move out apartment: walls, door frames and floors were severely scratched and dented;
the move in apartment: walls were also damaged with marks throughout the apartment; and
furniture was extremely damaged: for instance, despite the fridge being wrapped in numerous layers of bubble wrap, there is a huge gash at the back; and the wood on the bed frame has been extensively damaged. Below are a few pictures but the underneath of the bed is even more damaged and even has chunks of wood that is now missing because it was hit against the walls/floor.
